Everyone has to pose for pictures…whether at home with family or at a reception at work. Most people make major MISTAKES posing. Phil Cantor will show you the secret to making yourself look great in photographs. Phil will teach you how to pose for the camera and will even use your own cellphone to take your portrait.

Big Steve honored in Newark

Today, in Newark, a statue was unveiled.  Big Steve reading to two little kids. It was a fitting tribute to a man who has never stopped believing in the people of Newark. Stephen N. Adubato, Sr., now 80, was honored by a slew of political dignitaries: Governor Chris Christie, Senator-elect Cory Booker, and former Governor, Jim McGreevey with speeches that almost all touched on the political acumen and perseverance of his larger-than-life character.

I met Steve when he barreled into my studio, unannounced, to tell me that I was going to take his photograph. Since that day, he has been back multiple times, always with a candidate or two in tow who he was supporting for City Council or the School Board or for the Charter School he founded. “I brought them to get the best portrait,” he would shout in his gravelly voice.

I had a chance to thank Big Steve for inviting me to this wonderful event. It also got me thinking about legacy.  I admire this guy who fought hard, made enemies and friends, and single-mindedly  brought his vision to fruition. This statue is a testimonial to that fortitude. May we all leave something behind that is so meaningful.

The Bailey Family

I first captured the Bailey family 8 years and 2 children ago starting when their oldest daughter was only 2! A few weeks ago, as the summer was winding down, I photographed them once more, this time with Rocky the dog. The afternoon light was disappearing fast, but they all managed to look great among the reeds next to the bay in Holgate, NJ on Long Beach Island.

Three English Girls

These three English girls from Wayne, not England, showed off their angelic attitudes during this family portrait session.  With every addition to the family comes a new story to tell.  Juliet joins big sisters Katie and Charlotte as the family commemorates her arrival with a new family portrait.

Shimmering Senior Portrait Photography Session

Emma was as luminous as the glimmering sunshine surrounding her during this MHS Senior Portrait Session.

When asked what she liked best about the session, Emma responded, “How fun it was. I thought it would be awkward and uncomfortable, but you made it so fun…I didn’t want it to end!”

Schedule your Senior Portrait Session before it’s too late! For more information, call the studio at 973-783-1065.
