ROLLEIFLEX FINE ART PORTRAITS

The Rolleiflex Portrait represent a wonderful return to FILM. Using my 1955 Rolleiflex 2.8D, with a Xenotar lens, I’ve created a series of vintage portraits that have a chance to endure in our ephemeral world. The old school Rolleiflex’s iconic twin-lens reflex design invites a slow, deliberate process. Each frame becomes an intimate study of light, shadow, and emotion. The analog experience of manually composing and focusing allows me to capture moments that are timeless and intentional. Black-and-white film, with its rich tonal range, distills each portrait down to its essence—an interplay of textures and contrasts.
