Two people relaxing on rocks by the coast with blue sky and trees in the background.

The Schoodic Peninsula is part of Acadia National Park in Maine. While the famous part of Acadia is jammed with people, the Schoodic is not as popular & easy to get to. Schoodic Point is a giant slab of 419-million-year-old granite and jet-black basalt. The rugged outcrop juts into the Atlantic Ocean attracts visitors because it is so stark, beautiful & less-crowded. Photographed with my vintage Rolleiflex camera on expired Kodak film.
