248th Commemoration of the Battle of Monmouth

The

248th Commemoration of the Battle of Monmouth in Freehold, New Jersey was held on the site of the actual battle at the end of June. The public watched the mock skirmishes and reveled in, what reenactors call, “Living History”. I prefer to hang out in the margins and photograph the participants biding their time in the campsites (one for the British, one for the Colonials).
